The questions firms ask us most often.
Do we need Xero to use Dossio?
No. Work, templates, requests, the portal and time all work without Xero. With Xero, you also get an automatic check of each client's file, every night.
Can Dossio change anything in Xero?
No. The connection is read-only: Dossio looks at your files to check them, but never creates, changes or deletes anything there.
What about QuickBooks Online?
Not yet. Dossio works for all your clients, but the automatic accounting-file check is only available with Xero.
Do our clients have to pay or install anything?
No. The client portal is included, however many clients you have. Clients sign in with a link or a code sent by email, with no password to remember.
Who handles the migration?
Our team. Whether you come from Karbon, Excel or another software, we import your clients, contacts, templates, work, schedules and time, then train your team. Anything that can't be imported, we tell you up front.
How does email sorting work?
Each team member connects their Outlook mailbox and chooses which folders to sort. Dossio matches each email to the right client, summarizes it and labels it. You can then share it to the client's file or turn it into work.
Does the AI email our clients?
Never. The AI summarizes emails and prepares draft replies in Outlook. You are the one who reviews and sends them.
Where is our data hosted?
The database, files and application are hosted in Montréal, and each firm's data is kept separate. AI features are processed by Anthropic, and the emails Dossio sends go through Resend, two providers located in the United States.
How much does Dossio cost?
One price per firm, unlimited users: Essential $149, Pro $349 and Firm $599 a month, billed annually, based on your number of active clients. Migration is a separate service, on quote. You'll find all the details on the Pricing page.
How long does it take to get started?
You set up your firm in a minute and start the 30-day trial. If we migrate your data, plan for a dry run and then the final import, at your own pace.
Is there a mobile app?
It will soon be available on iPhone and Android for your team: your day, your tasks and your notifications. Until then, Dossio works in your phone's browser.
